<p><strong>In a series of posts on Truth Social on Friday night, Donald Trump launched a blistering assault on presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who some have suggested would make a powerful running-mate for the former president. Trump described RFK Jr. as a “Democrat ‘Plant’” and a “Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden… get Re-elected.”</strong></p>



<p>“A Vote for Junior would essentially be a WASTED PROTEST VOTE, that could swing either way,” posted Trump, “but would only swing against the Democrats if Republicans knew the true story about him.”</p><div class="fWWFeHKh"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>Trump then proceeded to tell the “true story” about RFK Jr.</p>



<p>First he labelled him “Anti-Gun,” “an Extreme Environmentalist &nbsp;who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative,” “a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate” and “Anti-Military/Vet.”</p>

<p>The brutal bashing continued in two follow-up posts. <p>And he also had choice words for RFK Jr’s running-mate, Nicole Shanahan. Trump described her as a non-entity whose only qualification as a “doctor” was “doing surgery on her husband’s wallet.” Trump suggested that RFK Jr. chose her simply because of the “pot of cash” she would bring to his campaign.</p>



<p>In the second follow-up, Trump described how he had witnessed RFK Jr. convince New York Governor Cuomo to enact “NASTY” environmental policies that have caused energy prices to skyrocket in the region. Trump also took the opportunity to blast California governor Gavin Newsome as “the Worst Governor in the State’s History.” Many believe Newsome will run for president this year, which he has so far denied.</p>

<p><strong>US intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not order the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in February. Navalny’s death led to a fresh wave of sanctions against Russia and scuppered prisoner-exchange negotiations between Russia and the West.</strong></p>



<p><em>The Wall Street Journal</em> <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwir5PeAiuKFAxUJLtAFHZqgBMkQFnoECBUQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wsj.com%2Fworld%2Frussia%2Falexei-navalny-death-us-intelligence-71bc95b0&amp;usg=AOvVaw2R5pSDXj2bu2L4Z-OnX5RV&amp;opi=89978449">reports </a>that President Putin probably did not plan “for it to happen when it did,” which “deepens the mystery about the circumstances of [Navalny&#8217;s] death.”</p><div class="dvKI1PKy"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>Citing intelligence sources, the <em>Journal</em> claims that US intelligence still believes Putin was, ultimately, responsible for his opponent’s death. This finding is “broadly accepted within the intelligence community.”</p>



<p>European intelligence agencies have, apparently, been appraised of this view. Some appear to be sceptical, believing that no harm could have come to Navalny without Putin’s say-so.</p>



<p>Navalny was targeted by the Kremlin for years, during his time in the country and during his time abroad. <p>In the summer of 2020, he was poisoned, apparently with the Novichok nerve agent, and evacuated from Russia to Berlin for treatment. Navalny blamed Putin for his poisoning. When he returned to Russia in January 2021, he was arrested. He received a prison sentence of 2.5 years in February of that year, and his party, Russia of the Future, was designated an extremist organisation and liquidated. Navalny received an additional nine years in prison when he was put on trial in March 2022 for charges of embezzlement and contempt of court.</p>



<p>When news of Navalny’s death was released by Russian authorities at the beginning of this year, Biden stated, unequivocally: “Make no mistake. Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death.”</p>



<p>The <em>Journal </em>also reports that Navalny&#8217;s personal friends and allies reject the new US intelligence assessment of the circumstances of his death.</p><div class="zf2PBvdL"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>

<p><strong>A poll <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/04/25/trump-biden-americans-illegal-immigration-poll">released</a> on Thursday shows that a majority of the American public now supports mass deportations of undocumented immigrants. 51% of those surveyed said they supported the Trump policy. While support was highest among Republicans who took the survey, at 68%, 42% of Democrats said they also support mass deportation.</strong></p>



<p>30% of Democrats also said they’re now in favour of ending birthright citizenship, a measure 46% of Republicans support.</p><div class="2I5DWR6B"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>Two-thirds of Americans believe that illegal immigration is a real crisis, not a “politically driven media narrative.”</p>

<p>The public also increasingly reject Joe Biden’s attempt to frame illegal immigration as somebody else’s fault. <p>When asked about their greatest concerns with regard to illegal immigration, Americans top choices were, in order, “increased crime rates, drugs and violence” (21%); “the additional cost to taxpayers” (18%); and “risk of terrorism and national security” (17%).</p>



<p>Nearly two-thirds stated they believe immigrants receive more in welfare and benefits than they pay in taxes, and 56% linked illegal immigration to increasing crime rates.</p>



<p>The poll was conducted online by The Harris Poll using a nationally representative sample of 6,251 adults.</p><div class="r7t0Z1gA"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>

<p><strong>In leaked audio released on Friday, New Mexico Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham slammed Border Patrol agents for seizing drugs crossing the border into the US from Mexico. She claimed that the agents are imperilling the state’s legal marijuana industry by targeting legal shipments in the state.</strong></p>



<p>“They’re saying that they’re worried about fentanyl, so they’re taking all of our cannabis. And they tried to detain people,” Gov. Grisham said in the recording, which lasts around two minutes. It’s not known where the recording was made, when or by whom.</p><div class="QLzdJx6f"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>The verdict on the leaked recording has been harsh. Here&#8217;s website <a href="https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/04/26/new-secret-recording-shows-what-democrat-governor-really-thinks-of-joe-bidens-border-policies-n2173389">Red State</a>:</p>



<p>“It is incredibly tone-deaf to whine about the Biden administration, not for its horrible pro-illegal immigration policies, but for some rank-and-file agents doing what they swore to do, which is uphold the laws as they stand today. Lujan Grisham is more worried about facilitating drugs in her state than helping her residents, and that says&nbsp;<em>a lot&nbsp;</em>about her failed tenure as governor.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Grisham, the “bad border patrol” is “taking a hard stance.”</p>



<p>The Governor goes on to suggest either an adjustment to the policy, &nbsp;or “I have to send you a letter saying you are persecuting a state. You are not using your discretion. You are not working with me on immigration.”</p>



<p>She adds that she doesn’t “want to send that letter” but she feels “boxed in hard.”</p><div class="YTr99BrV"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>Comments by US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas appear to have upset the Governor, particularly his claim that “they [i.e. the state of New Mexico] make a lot of money” from legal marijuana sales. Grisham hit back by saying that New Mexico is the only state that lets in “baby producers”—small-scale growers of marijuana—and that they are particularly vulnerable to drug seizures.</p>



<p>“Their business goes belly up.”</p>



<p>Legal marijuana is a boom industry in New Mexico. Last month, state officials celebrated more than $1 billion in total sales since the launch of legal sales in the state. The first licensed sales took place on April 1 2022.</p>



<p>Governor Grisham has <a href="https://www.marijuanamoment.net/new-mexico-senate-passes-psilocybin-therapy-and-research-resolution-in-unanimous-vote/">voiced her support</a> for the legalisation of other drugs, including psilocybin, one of the active ingredients in magic mushrooms.</p>

<p><strong>President Biden has altered his routine when departing and arriving at the White House via his helicopter Marine One, in a bid to disguise his “halting and stiff gait,” according to a <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/04/26/biden-walkers-white-house-marine-one">devastating report by Axios</a>.</strong></p>



<p>Since April 16, Biden has been surrounded by aides nearly every single time he has walked to and from Marine One. This is in marked contrast to the situation before April 16, when the President made his walks unaccompanied.</p><div class="26p6rUkq"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>The presidential walk to and from the helicopter across the White House lawn is, among other things, a prime photographic opportunity, so crowding the president with advisors and staff is considered to be a bad move.</p>

<p>In 2020, for example, when President Trump returned from treatment for COVID-19 at Walter Reed, he crossed the White House lawn alone, before mounting the steps and saluting Marine One. <p>Biden advisors told Axios they were “concerned that videos of Biden walking and shuffling alone—especially across the grass—have highlighted his age.”</p>



<p>Changes to Biden’s gait in recent weeks have been a source of comment not only for members of the White House staff but also reporters.</p>



<p>In a response to the Axios article, White House spokesman Andrew Bates attempted to play down the change to Biden’s routine, noting that the president was generally “fully visible except for a few seconds.”</p><div class="tbjaLEOH"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>Other changes to Biden’s routine have included making him wear shoes with extra support, enter Air Force one at a lower level and perform daily bouts of physiotherapy and stretching.</p>

<p><strong>An athletic director at a Baltimore high school was arrested this week after police claimed he used AI-generated deepfake audio to falsely accuse his school&#8217;s principal of uttering slurs about black and Jewish people.</strong></p>



<p>The Baltimore County Police Department <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/police/news/2024/04/25/athletic-director-charged-in-pikesville-high-school-ai-case" target="_blank">reported</a> on Thursday they arrested Dazhon Darien, 31, who worked as an athletic director at Pikesville High School.</p><div class="r6311ZLy"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>

<p>Darien was accused of creating audio depicting a &#8220;leaked recording&#8221; that surfaced in January where Pikesville High School principal Eric Eiswert appeared to deride black and Jewish students and staff members.</p>



<p>Here&#8217;s what the fake audio stated, according to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://foxbaltimore.com/news/project-baltimore/bcps-investigates-recording-of-disturbing-remarks-allegedly-made-by-pikesville-principal-eric-eiswert-assistant-principal-kathy-albert-baltimore-county-schools-superintendent-myriam-rogers" target="_blank">Fox Baltimore</a>:</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>&#8220;I seriously don’t understand why I have to constantly put up with these dumb***** here every day,” the speaker says in the recording. “Between these ungrateful black kids who can’t test their way out of a paper bag or these teachers who don’t get it. Get 40% OFF on the next evolution in activated nascent iodine HERE</p></a></li></ul></div><p>The derogatory comments then turn from students to staff members, as the speaker identifies two employees who “should have never been hired.” The speaker then names a third employee, saying, “I’m going to drag his black a** out of here one way or another.”</p><p>In the final seconds of the recording, the conversation turns to the community.</p><p>“And if I have to get one more complaint from one more Jew in this community, I’m going to join the other side,” the voice in the recording says.</p><div class="l3RCIsNi"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div></blockquote>

<p>&#8220;Based on an extensive investigation, detectives now have conclusive evidence the recording was not authentic,&#8221; the Baltimore County Police Department wrote in a press release, adding they&#8217;d contacted the FBI for a forensic analysis.</p>

<p>Eiswert denied the audio&#8217;s authenticity at the time, with county investigators also <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12979585/baltimore-principal-eric-eiswert-investigated-racist-comments-audio.html" target="_blank">initially suspecting</a> it to be fake.</p>



<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s believed Mr. Darien&#8230; made the recording to retaliate against Mr. Eiswert who at the time was pursuing an investigation into the potential mishandling of school funds,&#8221; police wrote.</p>



<p>&#8220;Mr. Darien now faces several charges including theft, stalking, disruption of school operations, and retaliation against a witness. Following a court appearance this afternoon, Mr. Darien was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.&#8221;</p>

<p><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.fox13seattle.com/news/seattle-child-sex-sting-meneley" target="_blank"><em>Fox 13</em> reports</a>, &#8220;Seattle Police say Bruce Meneley thought he was meeting an 11-year-old and a 7-year-old at the DoubleTree on Southcenter Parkway. Body camera footage shows the person identified as Meneley by the King County Medical Examiner pulling a gun out as soon as officers open the door to contact him.&#8221;</p>



<p>Meneley served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 2016 where he was stationed in several countries and even worked at the infamous Guantanamo Bay prison.</p>
